Scientific Program

The Organizing Committee of LACA-ABCr 2025 is proud to present a dynamic and engaging scientific program designed to foster collaboration, inspire innovation, and explore the future of crystallographic research across Latin America and beyond.

Our program will bring together leading researchers, emerging scientists, and students from across Latin America, the Caribbean, and the world. The sessions are structured to encourage in-depth discussions, the sharing of cutting-edge research, and valuable networking opportunities.

Guidelines for Presenters

To ensure a smooth and successful experience for all our speakers and attendees, please review the following guidelines for your presentation at LACA-ABCr 2025.

Oral Presentations

  • Time Management: The time allocated for your presentation includes the Question & Answer (Q&A) period. Please be sure to manage your time accordingly and reserve a few minutes at the end of your talk for audience questions. The specific duration for your talk is available in the final program.
  • Presentation Upload: To ensure a smooth transition between speakers, we strongly recommend that you upload your presentation file to the computer in your designated presentation room before your session begins. This can be done during the coffee break immediately preceding your session.
  • File Format: Presentations will be accepted in Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx) or PDF format. We recommend bringing a PDF version as a backup to ensure compatibility. Please use a 16:9 aspect ratio for your slides.

Poster Presentations

  • Template: There is no specific template required for posters. Presenters are free to design their own layout.
  • Dimensions: Please prepare your poster with a maximum size of 1 meter in width and 2 meters in height (portrait orientation).
  • Mounting: The supports available at the venue are designed for hanging posters from a holder at the top. We will provide the necessary materials to attach your poster to the board.
  • Exhibition Period: Posters will be exhibited during the complete main meeting. We recommend installing your poster on the morning of Tuesday, October 14th. All posters must be removed by the end of the final session on Friday, October 17th. Please note that any posters remaining after this time will be discarded.
  • Poster Sessions: All formal poster sessions will take place in the exhibition hall, concurrently with the coffee breaks, providing an excellent opportunity for discussion and networking.
